On behalf of President Obama and the people of the United States, I congratulate the people of Croatia as you celebrate the anniversary of your declaration of independence on June 25th.

The United States and Croatia are long-standing partners and NATO allies. We are united not just by shared interests, but by shared values. We promote peace and prosperity around the globe. And together, we are working to realize the vision of a Europe whole, free, and at peace.
