On behalf of President Obama and the people of the United States, I offer our condolences on the loss of life and damage caused in Burma’s Rakhine State by Cyclone Giri. The U.S. Embassy in Rangoon has offered immediate disaster relief assistance, and we will offer additional assistance as needed.
