Ambassador King Travel to Seoul and Tokyo

Special Envoy for North Korean Human Rights Issues Ambassador Robert King will travel to the Republic of Korea (ROK) and Japan October 10-14 for meetings with senior officials in each country to discuss North Korea human rights cooperation and other regional and bilateral issues.

Ambassador King will be in Seoul October 10-13 for meetings with newly-appointed Ambassador for DPRK Human Rights Lee Jung-hoon and other senior ROK government officials. He will also be speaking at the Korea Institute for National Unification (KINU) 6th Chaillot Forum on North Korea human rights.

He will then travel to Tokyo October 13 for meetings with Minister for the Abduction Issue Katsunobu Kato, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Deputy Director General for Asian and Oceanian Affairs Takeshi Osuga, and other senior Japanese government officials.
