Coordinator for Cyber Issues Christopher Painter Travels to Singapore and Japan for High Level meetings on Cyber Issues

Coordinator for Cyber Issues Christopher Painter will travel to Singapore to present at the inaugural Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) from October 10 to 12 before traveling to Japan from October 13-14 for the first ever meeting of the Group of Seven (G-7) Ise-Shima Cyber Group.

In Singapore, Coordinator Painter will deliver a keynote address at the Opening Ceremony of Singapore’s inaugural International Cyber Week. He will also give remarks on two panels, an International Cyber Leaders’ Symposium on “Building a Secure and Resilient Cyberspace” and an expert panel session on “International Law and Cyberspace,” as well as meet with industry and government representatives to discuss a range of cyber-related issues. The SICW coincides with the 25th anniversary of the GovernmentWare conference.

In Tokyo, Coordinator Painter will participate in the first meeting of the G-7 Ise-Shima Cyber Group. Established at the G-7 Leaders Summit in May 2016, this new cyber working group aims to enhance G-7 policy coordination and practical cooperation to promote security and stability in cyberspace.
