Special Advisor for Children's Issues Travels to Argentina and Brazil

Ambassador Susan Jacobs, Special Advisor for Children’s Issues, will travel to Argentina and Brazil from September 22-30, 2016.

Special Advisor Jacobs will meet with government and judicial officials in Argentina to discuss implementation of the Hague Abduction Convention and ways to strengthen our partnership to resolve international parental child abduction cases.

She will then travel to Brazil to discuss practices relating to the Hague Abduction Convention and the Hague Adoption Convention. She will also explore ways in which Brazil can more quickly resolve abduction cases consistently with the Hague Abduction Convention.
