On Monday, August 22, 2016, the communities of Indiana will host the ‘Indiana Forum,’ a day-long global engagement event that will highlight the depth and breadth of innovation in the state from advanced technology, healthcare, agriculture, defense/aerospace, and manufacturing, to the valuable roles of global entrepreneurship, sustainable development goals, interfaith dialogue, and education in shaping the future. The event will take place at the Grand Wayne Convention Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Further, the communities will engage diverse perspectives to learn firsthand the global issues that matter most to the people of Indiana.

The U.S. Department of State ‘Engage America’ initiative and ‘Cities@State’ network will amplify the Indiana Forum by way of its whole-of-government approach to explore global opportunities on behalf of local communities: strengthening inclusive prosperity and security, maintaining dialogue with the American public on the tangible impact of diplomacy, and collaborating to build people-to-people relationships around the world.

U.S. Government participation at the Indiana Forum includes the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Health & Human Services, Housing & Urban Development, NASA, U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, Small Business Administration, State Department, Veterans Affairs, and USAID.
