Ambassador Russell Gives Keynote Remarks at Gender 360 Summit

Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues Cathy Russell will deliver keynote remarks at the Gender 360 Summit, hosted by FHI 360 at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, DC, at 1:30 p.m. on June 15 as part of the United State of Women event.

Ambassador Russell will highlight the U.S. Global Strategy to Empower Adolescent Girls and comprehensive efforts to advance adolescent girls around the world through policy, partnerships, and programs. A panel of senior U.S. representatives from the White House, USAID, Peace Corps, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, and the State Department, including PEPFAR, will follow her remarks.

This event is part of the United State of Women, held by the White House Council on Women and Girls on June 14. The United State of Women is a large-scale effort to rally together advocates of gender equality to highlight achievements, identify remaining challenges, and chart the course for addressing them. Experts, advocates, and grassroots and business leaders who work in both domestic and international arenas will gather to highlight key issues affecting women and girls.
