Secretary of State John Kerry To Introduce the Commissioner General for the USA Pavilion at the Milan Expo 2015

Secretary of State John Kerry will introduce Doug Hickey as the new Commissioner General for the USA Pavilion at the Milan Expo 2015 at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 1, 2014, in the Treaty Room of the U.S. Department of State.

Doug Hickey, most recently President and CEO of San Francisco-based BinWise, Inc., has been appointed by Secretary of State John Kerry. The Expo will run from May 1 until October 31, 2015.

In this role, Mr. Hickey will lead the effort to build and operate the USA Pavilion at the 2015 World’s Fair in Milan, Italy. The Milan Expo has as its theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life,” and will explore issues surrounding the challenge of feeding more than nine billion people by 2050.

This event is open press and will be streamed live on state.gov.
