Special Advisor for Children's Issues Travels to Jordan and the Netherlands

Special Advisor for Children’s Issues Ambassador Susan Jacobs will visit Jordan and the Netherlands October 25-31.

Special Advisor Jacobs will attend The Hague Abduction Convention Symposium hosted by the U.S. Embassy in Amman. Representatives from The Hague Conference on Private International Law and government officials from Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, and the UAE will meet to discuss the Convention and how it can provide a civil legal framework to resolve international parental child abduction cases.

In the Netherlands, Special Advisor Jacobs will attend meetings at The Hague Conference for Private International Law to discuss ways to provide technical assistance for countries interested in joining and implementing Hague conventions.
