INL Assistant Secretary Brownfield To Announce Support for Countering Wildlife Crime at Wildlife Criminology Symposium

Ambassador William R. Brownfield, Assistant Secretary of State for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) will announce support for programs to counter wildlife crime during a keynote address to the Wildlife Criminology Symposium at the World Bank on Wednesday, April 23rd. Ambassador Brownfield will discuss efforts to implement President Obama’s National Strategy for Combating Wildlife Trafficking. The Department of State’s contributions include providing support to law-enforcement agencies in partner countries working on the front lines to combat poaching and cross-border wildlife trafficking.

The Department of State-World Bank co-hosted Wildlife Criminology Symposium will bring together policy makers, NGOs, and academics to examine cutting edge research of academic criminologists and others regarding crime and law enforcement.
