Secretary Kerry To Deliver Remarks at the Dedication of a Bust of Winston Churchill
Secretary of State John Kerry will deliver remarks at the dedication of a bust of Winston Churchill in National Statuary Hall of the United States Capitol on October 30th.
The bust is being placed pursuant to H. Res. 497, which was authored by House Speaker John Boehner and passed the House shortly before the 70th anniversary of Churchill's wartime address to a joint meeting of Congress. Speaker Boehner, along with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi will also participate in the dedication.
The ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will be live-streamed on Speaker.gov/Live/.
