The U.S. Department of State, in partnership with the United Nations Association of the USA, is pleased to announce the selection of this year’s U.S. Youth Observer to the 68th UN General Assembly. The Observer, Ms. Tiffany Taylor, was selected from among more than 700 applicants nationwide. Ms. Taylor graduated from the University of Chicago and is currently pursuing joint Masters Degrees from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and the School of Public Health at Columbia University. She originally hails from Mississippi.

As the Youth Observer, Ms. Taylor will attend events surrounding the UN General Assembly in New York, interact with youth representatives from other nations, and engage in other UN venues throughout the year. Ms. Taylor will also travel throughout the United States to share her impressions with UNA-USA Chapters and young Americans, and will engage with youth audiences via social media.

Ms. Taylor replaces Ms. Brooke Loughrin, who served as the first-ever U.S. Youth Observer to the 67th UN General Assembly.
