On March 29, President Koroma of Sierra Leone, President Sall of Senegal, President Banda of Malawi and Prime Minister Neves of Cape Verde will participate in a panel discussion at the U.S. Institute for Peace titled “Consolidating Democratic Gains, Promoting African Prosperity” to discuss how to take advantage of opportunities based on the positive outcomes of democracy. This event will be moderated by Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Johnnie Carson.

The U. S Institute for Peace is located 2301 Constitution Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20037. Journalists with equipment should arrive at 7:00am through the vendor entrance off 23^rd street. Other media arrive at Main Entrance on 23^rd street by 8:05am. Parking is not available at USIP.
