Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Tara D. Sonenshine will deliver remarks at the University of Maryland on Wednesday, March 27 at 11:00 a.m. Under Secretary Sonenshine will discuss how public diplomacy reinforces and complements U.S. government-wide efforts to counter violent extremism in critical regions around the world. The event will be hosted by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START).
