Secretary Clinton and USAID Administrator Shah to Launch Major New Science and Innovation Partnership

On November 8, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Rajiv Shah will launch a new Science and Technology partnership with top United States and foreign universities. These partnerships will leverage the intellectual power and passion of academic leaders, faculty, and students to create breakthrough development solutions.

Secretary Clinton and Administrator Shah will deliver remarks at 4:00 p.m. at the Department of State.  

The remarks will be open to the press. 

Pre set for cameras: 3:00 p.m. from the 23rd Street Entrance Lobby.
Final access for journalists and still photographers: 3:30 p.m. from the 23rd Street Entrance Lobby.

Media representatives may attend this event upon presentation of one of the following: (1) A U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification card (driver's license, passport).
