U.S. Department of State Hosts Press Briefing in Spanish, October 12, 2012

On Friday, October 12, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. EDT, the U.S. Department of State will host a Spanish-language press briefing on current U.S. foreign policy issues. Assistant Secretary of State for Public Affairs Mike Hammer will respond to questions in Spanish from the podium in the Department’s press briefing room.

Video of the press briefing will be made available on the Department’s YouTube Channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/statevideo and on //2009-2017.state.gov after the briefing concludes.

Media interested in attending should register by emailing PressDuty@state.gov.

Final access time for journalists is 1:30 p.m. from the 23rd Street entrance lobby. Media representatives may attend this event upon presentation of one of the following: (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification card (driver's license, passport). Please allow 30 minutes to process through security.
