On August 15-17, the Secretary’s Special Representative for Global Partnerships Kris Balderston will lead an Innovation Delegation of entrepreneurs, educators and technology leaders to Brazil to explore investment opportunities around sustainable urban environments in coordination with the Office of Innovation.
On August 15, Special Representative Balderston and delegates will travel to Brasilia to meet with Brazilian government officials and trade association leaders to discuss opportunities for partnership to promote innovation and sustainable urban development in Brazil. Special Representative Balderston will also lead a panel discussion of local business leaders, researchers and academics at the Brazilian National Council of Scientific and Technological Development on “Bringing Innovation to Market” in Brazil.
Special Representative Balderston and the delegation will then travel to Sao Paulo August 16-17, where delegates will meet with young entrepreneurs and organizations that are investing in innovations that promote sustainable urban living.
