U.S. Department of State Honors Steven Youngblood as State Alumni Member of the Month

The U.S. Department of State announced the selection of Steven Youngblood as the August State Alumni Member of the Month today for his dedication to the pursuit of a more peaceful world through international education and journalism.

Youngblood participated in two Fulbright U.S. Scholar Programs, first in 2001 in Moldova and again in 2007 in Azerbaijan. According to Youngblood, he found his passion for journalism while on his second Fulbright exchange in Azerbaijan.

Currently, Youngblood is an Associate Professor of Communication Arts at Park University where he founded the Center for Global Peace Journalism at Park University and serves on orientation panels for departing Fulbright participants.
