U.S. Department of State to Host Film Screening of Fordson and Dialogue with Director

The U.S. Department of State will hold a pre-release screening of the film Fordson on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at 3:00 p.m., in the Dean Acheson Auditorium at the U.S. Department of State, Washington, D.C.

Fordson follows a predominately Arab-American high school football team from Dearborn, Michigan during the last ten days of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and unearths the story of a community desperately holding onto its Islamic faith while struggling to gain acceptance in post 9-11 America. Fordson Director and Executive Producer, Rashid Ghazi, will speak about the film and take questions from the audience.

The Fordson Screening will begin at approximately 3:00 p.m.

The screening is open press coverage for cameras and stills and open-press for writers.

Pre Set time for cameras is 2:30 p.m. from the 23rd Street entrance

Final Access time for writers and stills is 2:45 p.m. from 23rd Street entrance
