Under Secretary Maria Otero and Assistant Secretary Eric Schwartz to Review Refugee Resettlement Programs in Denver and Phoenix
The U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP), which resettled nearly 75,000 refugees in the United States in 2009, has resettled nearly 2.5 million refugees since the passing of the U.S. Refugee Act 30 years ago. The opportunity to meet with partner agencies in the field, and to speak directly with refugees resettled through USRAP, is the best means of ensuring the program meets the needs of the beneficiary community.
