Oni K. Blair

Oni K. Blair, a career Foreign Service Officer, is currently the Director of the Near Eastern Affairs Office in the Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor Bureau at the U.S. Department of State. During the 2013-2014 academic year, Oni was a Rusk Fellow at Georgetown University, where she taught courses related to diplomacy and humanitarian assistance. Oni previously worked as a special assistant to the Deputy Secretary of State and as a staff assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Near Eastern Affairs. She has also served at the U.S. Embassies in Jordan, Pakistan, and Iraq. Outside of the State Department, Oni chairs the Board of Directors for the non-profit organization Atlas Corps; serves on the Young Founders Steering Committee for the National Archives; and is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
