Daniel Benaim is a Speechwriter and member of the Policy Planning Staff covering Middle East issues. He joined the State Department in October 2010 as a Speechwriter to the Secretary and Deputy Secretaries.

Prior to joining the State Department, Mr. Benaim he was a Professional Staff Member covering Middle East issues on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and served as a speechwriter to Senator John Kerry. He received his B.A. from Yale and his M.A. from The Fletcher School at Tufts University.
