Summary
The report largely evaluated the progress made since the 2004 recommendations. The report praised Virtual Presence Posts and highlighted that the number of American Corners increased from 180 to 257 between 2004 and 2005. The Commission recommended that PD practitioners adopt a more flexible, connected, and cross-cultural approach, focus resources on successful programs, modernize the Smith-Mundt Act (because information is borderless), engage appropriate technologies, increase partnerships with the private sector, and encourage country-specific research strategies for measuring results.  Full Report (html)»
